NPC Board Passes Resolution on Farm Bill

Resolution was reached during the 2024 Summer Meeting

On June 27 at the 2024 Summer Meeting, the NPC Board of Directors adopted the following resolution urging Congressional support for passing a bipartisan Farm Bill before the end of 2024:

Whereas the Farm Bill has been expired for nearly two years;

Whereas the cost of a new Farm Bill is likely to substantially increase next year;

Whereas U.S. agriculture cannot continue to lose ground to foreign competitors with our federal policy;

Now, therefore, the National Potato Council urges the House and Senate leaders to move forward immediately with bipartisan negotiations to produce a bill, reflecting our priorities, that can be signed into law this year.
